Tomaž Šalamun, presentation of book Ik weet and evening of his poetry in Brussels


On Wednesday 19th February at 7 PM at the bookstore Librebook, Chaussée de Wavre, 128, 1050 Brussels

We invite you to join us on presentation of translation of his book and an evening on the legendary Slovenian poet Tomaž Šalamun (1941-2014), a monument of European poetry. The "general of the avant-garde", as his nickname was, is mentioned in the same breath with Nobel Prize winners such as Czesław Miłosz and Joseph Brodsky. 

Staša Pavlović and Tom van den Voorde, the translators of his first extensive book translation in Dutch (Ik weet, published by Uitgeverij Vleugels) will introduce his work and read his poetry.
